1.15.1 Strategy: Notes

Principle:

• Sensors  that can affect emissions or are used to monitor other components and/or systems are monitored for circuit continuity and short to battery voltage and/or for short to ground, using a high and low voltage signal limit.
• Actuators  that can affect emissions or are used to monitor other components and/or systems are monitored by testing the power stage voltage for valid signals.
• For some sensors and actuators, plausibility monitoring is included to ensure the components operate properly.
