1.13.2.2 Monitoring Function - Mechanical Reference Position Diagnosis

P13B4/P13B5, P13B6/P13B7 

The position of the camshaft signal edges is compared to the crankshaft position while the camshaft is in lock position (VANOS passive) at least once per driving cycle.

The deviation of all the camshaft edges compared to the designed position is averaged. Each time the deviation of one of the camshaft signal edges exceeds a maximum value, the corresponding de-bounce counter is incremented. When the counter reaches a certain threshold, the error CAM_ref_crk_cam is delivered to error management.
