11 65... Removing and installing vacuum unit (wastegate valve) for cylinders 4-6 (N54)

NOTE:

These repair instructions serve only as preliminary work for other repair instructions.

The following information only describes how to remove and install the vacuum unit (wastegate valve).

The setting on the vacuum unit (wastegate valve) must not be altered.

IMPORTANT: Do not adjust and do not release lock nut (1).

Vacuum unit (wastegate valve) is adjusted to factory specifications.

ADJUSTMENT/INSPECTION/TESTING will be required if lock nut (1) is adjusted or released.

Detach vacuum hose (1) from vacuum unit (wastegate valve).

IMPORTANT: Locking clip (2) cannot be replaced if it is lost.
Bear this in mind and store the locking clip in a safe place.

Release locking clip (2).

Disengage linkage of vacuum unit (wastegate valve).

Unscrew nuts (1).

Tightening torque 11 65 9AZ .

Remove vacuum unit (wastegate valve).
