11 61 362 Removing and installing/replacing right charge-air duct (N54)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Unclip coolant hose (1) from holder (2) and lay in direction of arrow to one side.

Release band clamp (2) on turbocharger (1), cylinders 4-6.

Installation:

Replace band clamp (2).

Tightening torque 11 65 12AZ .

Release band clamp (1) on turbocharger (2), cylinders 1-3.

Installation:

Replace band clamp (2).

Tightening torque 11 65 12AZ .

Remove charge-air duct (1) in direction of arrow through intercooler installation location.

Installation:

Check O-rings, replace if necessary.

NOTE: Coat O-rings with antiseize agent when installing charge-air duct.

Assemble engine.

Check DME control unit (turbocharger) for correct operation.
