18 40 020 Removing and installing/renewing right exhaust manifold (N63 B40/B44 O 1)

WARNING: Risk of burning!
Only perform this repair work on an engine that has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 65 5AZ

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 65 5AZ .

Remove heat shield (2).

Release screws with spacer sleeves (1 to 8).

Remove exhaust manifold, bank 1.

Installation note:

Replace gasket.

Replace gasket (1) for bank 1.

Installation note:

Replace gasket on exhaust manifold .

Installation note:

Check locating apparatus on exhaust manifold.

Tighten all nuts in sequence (1 to 8).

Tightening torque: 11 62 2AZ .

Assemble engine.
