63 21 180 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Rear Light (In Side Panel)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with protection against electrostatic damage (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks

Release nuts (1, 3), gripping the threaded pin with a suitable tool in so doing.

Tightening torque 63 21 1AZ .

Remove rear light (4) in outwards direction from side panel (5).

Installation:

Observe tightening sequence:
1. Tighten nuts (3)
2. Tighten nut (1)
Make sure spacer (2) is correctly seated on side panel (5)
Make sure sealing washers are fitted on threaded pins between rear light (4) and side panel (5)

Make sure SEALING FRAME FOR REAR LIGHT is correctly seated on rear light (4)
Make sure gap is uniform all round between rear light (4) and side panel (5).
