51 43 148 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Trim On Left Or Right Door Pillar (Top)

Necessary preliminary tasks

NOTE: The seatbelt strap must be released only in the event of complete removal or replacement.

Lever out cap (1).

Release screw (2) and detach seatbelt strap.

Tightening torque 72 11 5AZ .

Installation:

Check that spacer bushing (3) and rubber ring (4) are in correct position.

Detach mucket (1) in area of trim (4).

Release trim (4) at clip (2).

Pull trim (4) in area (A) outwards slightly and feed out in direction of arrow from door pillar.

Feed out seatbelt strap (3) and remove trim (3).

Installation:

Clip (1) and guide (2) of trim (3) must not be damaged.

Installation:

Fit trim (1) on holder (2).

Press trim (1) upwards until catches (3) is correctly seated on holder (3).

Secure trim (1) with clip (4) to body.
