13 71 000 Removing and installing/replacing intake silencer housing (N55)

Necessary preliminary work

Remove intake port. See 13..... REMOVING INTAKE DUCT (N55) .

Detach line clip (1) from intake silencer housing in upward direction.

Unclip cable (2) from clamp and lay to one side.

Release clamp (2).

IMPORTANT: Observe tightening torque without fail!
If hose clamp is tightened with a higher tightening torque, there is a risk of damage to the fresh air hose!

Tightening torque: 13 71 3AZ .

Unlock connector (3) on hot film air mass meter and disconnect.

Pull intake silencer housing (1) off rubber mounts in an upward direction and remove.

Reassemble the vehicle.
