51 49... Removing and installing/replacing trim for tailgate hinge on left or right

Gently press together trim panel for hinge (1) in area of tabs (2) and open tabs (2).

Installation note:

Tabs (2) must not be missing or damaged.

Pull out trim panel for hinge (1) from tailgate trim panel (2) and feed out of hinge.

Installation note:

Catches (3) on trim for hinge (1) must not be missing or damaged.

Installation note:

Pin (1) must be inserted in corresponding opening in hinge.

On vehicle versions before 03/2012, it is possible hinges are installed without a corresponding opening.

On replacement of trim panel (2), pin (1) must possibly be removed.
