65 77 532 Removing and installing/replacing front left sensor (acceleration sensor)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove grille in bumper trim  on left, see 51 11 185 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING GRILLE (SIDE) IN BUMPER TRIM .

Release bolts (1).

Disconnect plug connection (2) and remove sensor.

Tightening torque 65 77 6AZ  , see 65 77 AIRBAG TRIGGERING CONTROL .

Installation: 

Replace screws (1).

Sensor surface of front left acceleration sensor must point downwards.
