51 24 004 Adjusting rear lid lock

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR APRON TRIM

Precondition:

Rear lid must be correctly adjusted to fit; if necessary, ADJUST REAR LID .

For ideal adjustment, refer to 41 00... BODY GAP DIMENSIONS .

Slacken nuts (1) on servo lock until such stage that they can still just be moved.

IMPORTANT: Lock pin (2) must not brush against upper rear lid lock section.

Close rear lid.

Servo lock centers itself in the process.

Installation note:

Check sliders (1) on servo lock for damage, replace if necessary.

Open rear lid.

Tighten down screws (2) on servo lock.

Check adjustment of rear lid and servo lock, repeating adjustment if necessary.

Version with reversing camera:

After adjusting, check reversing camera and if necessary RECALIBRATE .
