Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when the voltage on the signal wire for the turbocharger water pump is between 2.19 and 4.01 V while a control signal is being transmitted.

Potential problem source(s):

• Foreign matter
• Friction
• Coolant mixture ratio incorrect
• Turbocharger water pump defective

Terminal condition: Terminal 15

Voltage condition:

• Electrical system voltage > 10 V

Temperature condition:

• Engine temperature > 81°C

Time condition:

• 30 sec. after the turbocharger water pump is activated or deactivated

Other conditions:

• No internal DME faults should be present
