17 13 020 Removing and installing/replacing intercooler expansion tank (N63 hybrid)
WARNING:
High-voltage system - danger to life!
WARNING:
The following points must be strictly observed prior to starting work:
- DE-ENERGIZE THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
- Observe SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS for handling with hybrid vehicles
IMPORTANT:
Danger of scalding!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Follow INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING on cooling system
- Remove COVER from electronics box power module
- Drain coolant for intercooler
- Release COOLANT EXPANSION TANK
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 17 10 5AZ .
Slightly pull expansion tank (2) in upward direction
Unlock and disconnect coolant hoses (1).
Installation:
Insert guide (2) back into rubber mounting.
Assemble engine.
After completing work, fill intercooler with coolant.
Vent COOLING SYSTEM FOR INTERCOOLER .
Check cooling system for leaks.
