12 14 512 Replacing pulse generator on left exhaust camshaft (N63): Notes

(cylinder bank 1 to 4)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
• Switch off ignition.
• Remove left intake filter housing  , see 13 71 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING BOTH INTAKE FILTER HOUSINGS (N63) .

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque 13 32 3AZ, see 13 32 FUEL FILTER .

Remove pulse generator (3).
