Removal & Installation

  1. Remove footwell side trim panel from left "A" pillar. See 51 45 185 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY . Fold floor trim panel and insulating mat to one side.
  2. Disconnect plug connection (1). Remove screw (2) and plastic nut (3). Remove lateral acceleration sensor (4). See Fig 1.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Plastic nut returns to top left position. Using Diagnosis Information System (DIS) Tester, perform lateral acceleration sensor adjustment procedure under "Service Functions" menu.
