Monitoring criteria

The fault is recognized when an open wire is present.

Potential problem source(s):

-Open circuit in wire between the DME and the intake-side VANOS solenoid valve.

-Defect in power supply to VANOS intake-side solenoid valve

-Intake VANOS solenoid valve defective
