Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when the throttle valve fails to reach the emergency-air position in the specified time when current supply is deactivated while it is in the 17° position during the activation test.

Potential problem source(s):

• Throttle valve operation impaired by contamination
• Defective wiring harness between DME and throttle valve
• Defective throttle valve

  Terminal condition: Terminal 15

  Voltage condition:

• Electrical system voltage > 10 V

  Temperature condition:

• Intake air temperature > -10 °C
• Coolant temperature > -10 °C
• Coolant temperature < 142 °C

  Time condition:

• 5 sec.

  Other conditions:

• Terminal status switch without convenience start
