Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when the charge-air temperature has not displayed a variation of at least 1.5°C.

Potential problem source(s):

• Sticking sensor
• Shunt current
• Sensor manipulation
• Defective DME

  Terminal condition: Terminal 15

  Voltage condition:

• None

  Temperature condition:

• When the engine is started the ambient temperature must exceed -7.5 °C and be lower than 35.3 °C, engine temperature above 79 °C

  Time condition:

• (Drive vehicle at >40km/h for at least 120 sec., then allow to idle for up to 60 sec. while stationary) x2 (execute routine two times)

  Other conditions:

• Engine must be running, TIA electrical diagnosis completed
