37 14 512 Replacing rear ride height sensor

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

NOTE: The following was performed on E87 by way of example. Details may differ in other vehicles.

Release nut (1) and disconnect jointed rod (2).

Tightening torque 37 14 3AZ

Installation note:

Replace nut.

Disconnect plug connection (3).

Release screw (4) and remove ride height sensor with holder.

Tightening torque 37 14 2AZ .

Installation note:

Align holder with corresponding bore hole on rear axle support.

Replacement

Release screws (1) and remove ride height sensor from holder (2).

Tightening torque 37 14 1AZ .

Installation note:

Extending from the ride height sensor, the sensor lever (3) must point in the direction of the bolting point (arrow) of the holder.
