61 12 013 Replacing negative battery lead

Necessary preliminary work:

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Loosen nut (2) of negative battery terminal.

Tightening torque 61 21 1AZ .

IMPORTANT: Do not use force to pull off pole shoe under any circumstances.
Do not under any circumstances release socket-head cap screw of IBS.

Pull off battery earth lead (3) with intelligent battery sensor (IBS) upwards.

Release nut (4) and remove cable.

Tightening torque (E92): 61 21 5AZ

Tightening torque (E90/91): 61 21 6AZ
