41 12 651 Replacing Left Luggage Compartment Floor Section (Tail Panel Or Side Wall Removed)
Read contents of BODY, GENERAL .
Observe (REPAIR STAGE 2) procedure!
Following new body parts are required (refer to CONSUMABLES ):
- (1) Luggage compartment floor, left section
- (2) Left C-pillar reinforcement
Following CONSUMABLES are required:

Removal of luggage compartment floor
Open welded connections in area (1).
Mark severance cut (1) according to dimension, next to reinforcement (2) and disconnect.
Dimension a = 60 mm from hole Ø 8 mm
Installation note:
Mark severance cut on new part C-pillar reinforcement in accordance with severance cut on vehicle + 25 mm for extra material and cut.
Bond C-pillar reinforcement in area of the overlap with 3 blind rivets N3 and rivet.
Open welded connections in area (1).
Mark severance cut (2) next to reinforcement (3) and disconnect.
Open welded connections in area (1).
Remove the luggage compartment floor.
New part preparation
Mark severance cut on luggage compartment floor in accordance with severance cut on vehicle + 15 mm for extra material and cut.
Adjust new part in combination with tail panel and side wall to fit and secure.
Set 5 4.2 mm dia. bore holes for blind rivets N3 in area (1).
Set 8 4.2 mm dia. bore holes for blind rivets N3 in area (1).
Set 5 4.2 mm dia. bore holes for blind rivets N3 in area (2).
Remove new part again and deburr bore holes.
Installation of luggage compartment floor
Clean all bonding surfaces on new part and on vehicle with cleaning agent R1.
Apply adhesive to bonding surfaces.
When installing the new part, make sure that all bonding surfaces have sufficient adhesive.
Install new part and rivet with blind rivets.
In area (1) secure luggage compartment floor until adhesive has hardened at side member.
After hardening of the adhesive install 4 EMC SCREWS in the areas (1).
