Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when a short circuit to positive is present during activation of the compressor bypass valve.

Potential problem source(s):

• Defect in wiring harness between compressor bypass valve and DME
• Diverter valve defective

  Terminal condition: none

  Voltage condition:

• Electrical system voltage > 10 V

  Temperature condition:

• None

  Time condition:

• 0.5 sec.

  Other conditions:

• Component must receive activation signal
