52 23... Repair solution for left or right child's seat mechanism

Removing and installing rear seat,

(sedan) refer to 52 23 511 ADDITIONAL WORK WITH INTEGRATED CHILD'S SEATS 

(touring) refer to 52 26 005 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR SEAT (THROUGH-LOADING) 

Unfasten nuts (1) and pull child's seat off rear seat.

Untie steel cable (1) and lift out of lugs (2). Lift out cover (3) on all sides.

Replace loop cable: 

Unhook cover at front.

Unfasten cable ties (1) and pull loop cable (2) off bracket (3).

Replace central clip: 

Unclip central clip (1) from rod (2) and thread out of spring (3).

Push up central clip (1) until detent (2) is free, then pull off guide (3).
