Synchronization starts with exhaust camshaft sensor 2. If this is not successful the process continues with the exhaust camshaft sensor (1). If this is also unsuccessful then the process continues with intake camshaft sensor 2. If this also unsuccessful then the process continues with exhaust camshaft sensor 1. Reflecting his, the diagnostic fault codes are also logged in this sequence.
