54 34... Topping up/extracting fluid, checking fluid level

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Follow repair instruction s for hydraulic system. See 54 34... Repair Instructions For Hydraulic System Of Convertible Top And Convertible Top Compartment Lid .
Remove convertible top . See 54 34 101 Removing And Installing Complete Convertible Top .
Convertible top placed on special tool .
Remove acoustic insulation of hydraulic unit.

Checking fluid level:

Close convertible top
Position hydraulic unit vertically.
Fluid level must be within the markings.

Topping up fluid:

Open oil filler plug.
Tightening torque, see 54 34 5AZ in SLIDE/TILT ROOF AND CONVERTIBLE TOP - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
Hold hydraulic unit vertically and pour in required amount of fluid from a fluid bottle.
Check fluid level from time to time.

Extract fluid:

Open oil filler plug.
Tightening torque, see 54 34 5AZ in SLIDE/TILT ROOF AND CONVERTIBLE TOP - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
Hold hydraulic unit on its head over a tray and allow oil to flow out.
