54 31 130 Removing and installing/replacing one funnel

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove convertible top . See 54 34 101 Removing And Installing Complete Convertible Top .
Remove mounting for convertible top compartment middle. See 54 31 180 Removing And Installing/Replacing A Mounting For Convertible Top Compartment Floor .
Remove rear trim from rollover protection system. See 51 43... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM COVER FOR ROLLOVER PROTECTION .
Remove wheel arch splash guard . See 51 71 038 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT SPLASH GUARD .

Remove expansion rivets (1).

Remove clamp (2).

Raise cover (2) slightly and feed out funnel (1).

Lever out funnel (1) towards top.

Expose water drain hose at bottom of wheel arch (remove underbody protection) and feed out towards top.

Installation:

Install water drain hose with aid of a wire and install feed at bottom into sheet metal. Ensure correct seating.

Seal water drain hose with extrudable seam seal or underbody protection at bottom.
