Removal & Installation
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 BMW 745i, 2004 BMW 745Li, 2003 BMW 745i, 2003 BMW 745Li, and 2002 BMW 745i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove wheel.
- Open plug housing (1). Remove plug connection (2) from fixture and disconnect. See Fig 1 .
- Pull cable out of fasteners on swinging fork.
- Remove hexagon-socket-cap screw (2) and remove wheel pulse sensor from bore. See Fig 2 .
- Clean and lubricate hole for wheel pulse sensor with Staburags NBU 12/K or equivalent.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Ensure proper locking of the plug connection and proper seating of the cable in the fixtures and brackets.
- When installing wheel, tighten wheel lugs to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
