Removal & Installation

NOTE:
Rotation rate sensor also contains function of transversal acceleration sensor.
- Remove right front seat.
- Remove entrance cover strip, front left.
- Lift floor trim panel and fold back to one side.
- Remove cover (1) and carefully raise air duct (2) until rotation-rate sensor is exposed. See Fig 1 .
- Unlock plug connection (1) and detach. Release screws (2) and remove rotation-rate sensor (3). See Fig 2 .
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure proper locking of plug connectors and tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
