Control Arm Brackets: Removal

  1. Remove reinforcement plate. See REINFORCEMENT PLATE  .
  2. Unfasten screws. See Fig 1 .
  3. Punch mark center of control arm. See Fig 2 .
  4. Assemble Special Tool (00 7 500).
  5. If necessary, remachine Special Tool (31 2 151). See Fig 3 .
  6. Detach bracket with Special Tools (00 7 500) and (31 2 151) from control arm. See Fig 4 .
  7. Mark out measurement (A) at bottom of control arm pin. See Fig 5 . Measurement (A) equals 286.3-288.3 mm.
