Removal & Installation

  1. Remove drive flange for rear axle shaft. See AXLE SHAFT DRIVE FLANGE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in AXLE SHAFTS article. Remove bolts. Remove wheel bearing. See Fig 1.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Keep tapped holes (1) and mating surfaces (2) of wheel bearing and wheel carrier clean and free from grease. See Fig 2. Use a new wheel bearing.
