11 13 010 Removing and Installing/Replacing Oil Sump Top Section (N73)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screw, remove A/C compressor clamping device (1).

Unfasten screw connection (1).

Lay oil lines (2) to one side.

Release screws in area (1) and remove oil pan top section (2).

Tightening torque: 11 13 2AZ. See 11 13 OIL PAN

Installation: 

Replace gaskets and sealing rings.

Clean sealing surfaces.

Apply a thin even coat of Drei Bond 1209 (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service) in area (1)

Install oil sump with a new gasket.

Assemble engine.
