64 11 274 Replacing Water Valve For Heater (Automatic A/C High)

Danger of scalding!

Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Installation: 

Ensure correct cable routing.

Pull out heater valve (2) upwards slightly.

Release hose clamps (1) and detach water hoses.

Remove water valve for heater (2).

Installation: 

Make sure water valve (1) is correctly seated in grommets (2) and rubber mount (3).

If necessary, replace grommets (2) and rubber mount (3).

Filling and bleeding the cooling system.  See 17 00 039 VENTING COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECKING FOR LEAKS (N62, N62TU)
