66 12 100 Removing and installing/replacing slide-in unit for radio-operated key

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove fixture for steering column stalks. See 61 31 006 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FIXTURE FOR STEERING COLUMN STALK (FROM 09/2005) .

Release screws (1). Remove the radio-operated key insert (2) from the steering column switch intake (3).

IMPORTANT: Carefully unlock and disconnect associated plug connection for ribbon cable. Replace the ribbon cable if damaged.
