51 12 810 Removing and installing / replacing deformation element on bumper carrier on left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove carrier for rear bumper trim

Release screws (1).

Remove locator (2) straight towards rear.

Tightening torque 51 12 3AZ . See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Installation:

Foam seal (1) on locator (2) must not be damaged.
