72 11 041 Removing And Installing/Replacing Front Left Or Right Lower Belt Fitting (Seat Belt TENSIONER)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove front seat  . See 52 13 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTH SEAT RAILS ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/SEMI-ELECTRIC) .

Unlock plug connections  and disconnect. See 72 12 ... UNLOCKING/LOCKING AIRBAG PLUG CONNECTIONS .

Installation: 

Belt tensioner (1) is coded against incorrect installation.

Release screw (1).

Installation: 

Replace screw (1).

Tightening torque. See PARTS AND ACCESSORIES - TIGHTENING TORQUES - X5 .

Remove belt tensioner (2).
