11 37 035 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Eccentric Shaft Sensor (N62/N62TU)

(cylinder bank 5 to 8) 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove left cylinder head cover  . See 11 12 005 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/SEALING LEFT CYLINDER HEAD COVER (N62/N62TU) .

Unfasten screws.

Remove eccentric shaft sensor (1).

Installation: 

Read out fault memory of control unit of Digital Motor Electronics (DME).

Check stored fault messages.

Rectify faults.

Now clear the fault memory.
