12 14 550 Replacing control unit (DME)

CAUTION: Follow instructions for REMOVING AND INSTALLING ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNITS 

Read the fault memory

Switch off ignition

Detach sealing strips (1).

Turn tommy bar through approx 90°.

Remove cover.

Release lock (1).

Remove air funnel (2) towards top.

Release screws.

Tightening torque, 12 90 4AZ.

Remove cover (1) on control unit box.

Installation: 

Insert fixtures (1) of cover for control unit box in openings (2).

Disconnect plug connectors (1).

Unlock DME control unit (2) and remove.

For subsequent procedure, follow ionstructions of DIS Tester.

IMPORTANT:
  • Code control unit
  • Program control unit
NOTE:
  • Integrate fault memory
  • Check stored fault messages
  • Rectify faults
  • Then clear fault memory
