11 36 575 Replacing solenoid valve for exhaust side on VANOS adjustment unit

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

E85 only: 

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Cut through cable tie (2).

NOTE: Once it has been removed, oil drips from the solenoid valve.
Have a cleaning cloth ready.
Make sure no oil drips onto the belt drive. Remove any remnants of oil immediately with cleaning cloth.
Release solenoid valve with special tool n 6 420.

Installation: 

Tightening torque 11 36 1AZ. Refer to ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Now clear the fault memory.
