66 53 160 Removing and installing (replacing) the Top Rear View control unit

Necessary preliminary work 

Unlock the retaining lug (1).

Remove the control unit (2) from the bracket.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Remove control unit (2).

Replacement: 

  1. Mount KDS quick-release clamp on the wheels of the side being calibrated: e.g. front left and rear left.

    (Mounting the KDS quick-release clamp detects wheel center.)

  2. Calibration is performed via BMW diagnosis system:
    • Service function
      • Body
        • All-round vision camera
          • Calibration of all-round vision camera
