54 13 050 Replacing gasket for rear slide/tilt sunroof lid

Necessary preliminary work:

Open glass slide/tilt sunroof

NOTE: Follow REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS for bonded sealing on glass slide/tilt sunroof.

Remove sealing (1) from slide/tilt sunroof lid.

Installation note:

Clean bonding surface with adhesive remover (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Department).

Press sealing without stretching (squashing).

IMPORTANT: Do not touch adhesive area.
Surface temperature ≥20 °C
Incorrect bonding of the sealing will result in leaks.

After installation:

Completely move glass slide/tilt sunroof cover. ADJUST glass slide/tilt sunroof cover.
