66 53 160 Removing and installing (replacing) the Top Rear View control unit

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove the cover from the dashboard trim panel.

Unlock the retaining lug (1). Remove the control unit (2) from the bracket.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect. Remove control unit (2).

Replacement:

Carry out vehicle programming and encoding
Perform the calibration ("Top View" exterior mirror camera only):
1. Mount KDS quick-release clamp on the wheels of the side being calibrated: e.g. front left and rear left. (Mounting the KDS quick-release clamp detects wheel centre.)
2. Calibration is performed via BMW diagnosis system:
  - Service function
  - Body
  - All-round vision camera
  - Calibration of all-round vision camera
