65 12 220 Removing and installing (replacing) satellite tuner, (US version up to 09/2009, M model up to 07/2009 only)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead , see 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
Remove luggage compartment panel on side panel on left, see 51 47 172 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM, LEFT OR RIGHT .

Release screws (1).

Disconnect plug connections (2) and remove satellite tuner (3) from holder (4).

Replacement:

Record ID number (2) of the removed device.

NOTE: The ID number (2) can be found on the label of the housing. Above the barcode the text reads "Sirius ID" (1) and next to it is the company's logo "Sirius Satellite Radio" (3).

Record ID number (2) of the new device.
