52 17 035 Removing and installing/replacing gearing for head restraint adjustment

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screws (4) on left and right.

Tightening torque: 52 10 10AZ  , see 52 10 FRONT SEATS .

Remove retainer (1) on left and right.

Remove gearing (2) on left and right straight towards front.

Installation: 

To ensure identical adjustment of gearings (2), carry out following work step on both gearings:
