52 17 035 Removing and installing/replacing gearing for head restraint adjustment

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove shaft for head restraint adjustment, see 52 17 034 Removing and installing/replacing shaft for head restraint adjustment .
Release screws (4) on left and right.
Tightening torque: 52 10 10AZ , see 52 10 FRONT SEATS .
Remove retainer (1) on left and right.
Remove gearing (2) on left and right straight towards front.
Installation:
To ensure identical adjustment of gearings (2), carry out following work step on both gearings:
- Unscrew component (5) until threaded rod (6) is flush with edge (3).
