52 16 393 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right crash-active head restraint

Incorrect handling may result in triggering of the crash-active head restraint and thereby cause injury.

Switch off ignition!

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Feed out wiring harness from head restraint height adjustment and foam material.

Lever out locking clamps (1)

Lift out head restraint.
