Overview for side window cementing (E71)

Moisten suction surface of special tool 51 3 220 and secure to door window glass. Set down door window glass on a suitable surface.
If reusing the previous side window, remove residual adhesive down to 0.5 mm.
Almost vertical part (B) of adhesive bead (1) must face PVC spray-coating (5).
In area (X) of positioning pins (7) spacing (C) of adhesive bead (1) to PVC spray-coating (5) must be increased to 4 mm.
Spread adhesive bead (4) with special tool 00 9 322 .
Fit side window (1) with positioning pins (2).
Insert side window (1) completely.
Close rear door.
Adapt side window (1) to rear door if necessary.
Snap side window into dual-lock tapes and secure with yellow plastic adhesive tape*.
