51 11 185 Removing and installing/replacing grille (side) in bumper trim

Special tools required: 

Fold trim bar (1) down and pull in direction of arrow from catches (2).

Installation: 

Catches (2) must not be damaged.

Unclip catches (1) with special tool 00 9 323  and remove trim grille (2) towards front.

Installation: 

Catches (1) must not be damaged

IMPORTANT:

The ornamental grille (1) shown is welded to the bumper panel and cannot be removed from the outside.

The trim bar (2) can be removed from the outside.

Dismantling the trim bar: 

Reach behind ornamental grille (1) and push latch mechanisms (3) up.

Feed out trim bar (2) forwards.
