17 11 040 Removing and installing/replacing thermostat cartridge (N62TU/N52K/N54/M57T2)

Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Follow instructions for working on cooling system
- Draining coolant
- Remove fan cowl
Unlock and detach coolant hose (1).
Release nuts and remove thermostat cartridge (2).
Installation:
- Clean contact faces.
- Check seals and replace if necessary.
Add final details to vehicle.
