61 11... Remove and install / replace the HSD cable for the Top View camera in the exterior mirror, left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove protective cap on left or right exterior mirror. See 51 16 041 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING COVER CAP ON LEFT OR RIGHT OUTSIDE MIRROR .
Remove exterior mirror from left or right front door. See 51 16 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING MIRROR ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR .

Lever out the cover (1) in direction of arrow.

Pull the rubber grommet including internal connector (1) out of the mirror housing (2) in direction of arrow.

Unlock the lock (1) in direction of arrow with suitable tool.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

Unlock the lock (3) carefully with a suitable tool. Pull the connector housing (4) off the HSD cable (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: Pay attention to encoding (5)!

Feed the HSD cable (3) out of the rubber grommet (2).

NOTE: Leave the rubber grommet (2) on the connector (1).

Feed the HSD cable (3) out of the mirror housing (4).
