61 11 211 Installing repair cable for right exterior mirror camera

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screws (1) on driver's and passenger sides and remove air duct (2).

Unlock the lock (1) in direction of arrow with suitable tool.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

Unlock the lock (3) carefully with a suitable tool. Pull connector housing (4) of line (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:  Pay attention to encoding (5)!

Release screw (1). Pull out plug connection (2) from A-pillar.

Open lock (2). Disconnect plug connection (1).

On both sides, remove secondary lock (1) and pull off in direction of arrow.

Release lock (2) and pull off cable (1). Tie back pulled-off cable (1) on wiring harness.

Guide repair cable (1) through opening in A-pillar into passenger compartment. Secure repair cable (1) to wiring harness with insulating tape. Insert repair cable (1) into slot (2).

Route repair cable along wiring harness in direction of arrow and secure.

Route repair cable along wiring harness in direction of arrow and secure.

Feed through repair cable (1) under heating and air-conditioning unit (2) from passenger footwell into driver's footwell.

Lay repair cable in direction of arrow under heating and air-conditioning unit (1), foam material (2) and carpet (3).

Pull off connector (2) from all-round vision camera control unit. Tie back cable that has been pulled off to the wiring harness. Attach repair cable at free slot.

NOTE: Lay any repair cable overlength under carpet and secure. Once the camera has been successfully checked, cut off old cable connector.

Plug 2 Exterior mirror camera, right
Plug 3 Reversing camera
Plug 4 Bumper camera, left
Plug 5 Exterior mirror camera, left
