61 12 850 Replacing ribbon cable (CAS)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on handling wiring harnesses and cables.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove Start/Stop switch
Remove trim for pedal assembly . See 51 45 185 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING PANEL FOR PEDALS .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

NOTE: Instrument panel (2) removed for purposes of clarity.

Pull off insulating tape (1) with ribbon cable (3) from instrument panel (2).

Installation:

Make sure ribbon cable is laid correctly.

Secure ribbon cable with new insulating tape to instrument panel (2).
